Litigation industry attacks 24 So. AZ grazing allotments
On February 28, 2022, the Center for Biological Diversity and The Audubon Society filed a 60-day Notice of Intent to sue the Coronado National Forest and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It appears their legal staff is attempting to file a suit that would prohibit the affected grazing permittees from intervening in their self defense.
The 24 targeted grazing allotments include the following:
Douglas Ranger District: Clanton/Cloverdale, Geronimo, and Peloncillo allotments;
Nogales Ranger District: Bear Valley, Box Canyon, Cross S, Greaterville, Lake, Montana, Oak Tree and Rosemont allotments;
Safford Ranger District: Deer Creek allotment;
Sierra Vista Ranger District
Agua Caliente, Alisos, Duquesne, Farrel, Harshaw, Hayfield, Lewis, Lone Mountain, Lyle Canyon, McBeth, McFarland, Post Canyon, Proctor, San Rafael and Santa Cruz allotments.
SACPA is working to defend all the above-named ranches.
If your ranch is included in the list above, please contact Dan Bell, contact any other SACPA Board member, or use the Contact Us form–ASAP.
